Mutebi to Launch Buganda Strategy

Kampala—The Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi, will soon commission a ten-year Buganda Development Strategy, the Katikiro, Joseph Ssemwogere, has said.

Ssemwogerere said the committee set up last year to draw up the development strategy were expected to finish their work and be commissioned in February.

He said a committee of seven sub-committees was inaugurated early last year.

The theme of the development strategy is the ‘Royal Development Drive’ and it will base on honesty, working hard and cooperation for development, Ssemwogerere said.

In his new year message, Ssemwogerere appealed to Ugandans to listen carefully and vote wisely and decide what is best for our country.

He thanked Ugandans who have participated and contributed to the renovations of the Kasubi Tombs.

The renovations of the Tombs launched by Ssemwogerere started on December 23.

He appealed to the public to contribute more to the work.
