Taino Documentation Project

Note from Cacike Pedro Guanikeyu Torres <torresp@algorithms.com>
26 September, 1995

I would like to inform you that as of November 18, 1993 the Taino Indigenous Nation was reborn on the Island of Boriken (Puerto Rico). On November 14th 15th the first Taino Congress was held after 500 years in Barrio Caguanas, Utuado, Puerto Rico.

After reading the information you have posted in your Internet Haiti files [ World History Archives, Haiti], I felt that it would be very important that you got the word out to the Haiti people of Taino blood that now a Taino General Council is hard at work fixing the problems that the White people did to us on the Islands. We have a regional Office in New Jersey in the United States.

Taino Documentation Project

We have The "Taino Documentation Project." We have many Taino files online about the Taino Indian people of the Caribbean and United States mainland. Call the Board [and] look around. If you have any Taino information files you would like to upload, then please do it. The Taino people need the help of lots of good Caribbean friends.
