Grenada state media workers on strike
CANA, 22 April 2000
St. George's, Grenada, CANA - For the second time in a month, the Grenada Broadcasting Network (GBN) has been hit by industrial action. Unionised workers walked of the job late Thursday and management officials said they were not told of any new grievance or difficulty, which would have led to this. "The workers are not here. We are not being told what is happening. We do not know what the issues are so we cannot address them. I tried to get a staff meeting ... that did not take place the workers refused to meet," GBN Manager Hamlet Mark said.
