TUC takes issue with Grenada Chamber of Commerce

CANA, 7 September 2000

St. George's, Grenada, CANA - The umbrella body that represents trade unions in Grenada is taking issue with what it terms recent anti-union statements by the country's Chamber of Commerce. The Trade Union Council is (TUC) objecting to the Chamber's criticism of the movement in the wake of last week's strike at the main seaport in St. George's. A dismissal letter to a male employee at the Port was put on hold as a result of the 36-hour work stoppage by his co-workers.
