A Moroccan non-governmental organization called on Spanish trade unions to grant a keen interest to the grievances of Muslim workers in the negotiations on collective conventions.

The Association of Moroccan migrant workers in Spain called for recognizing as off days the Muslim holy days, such as Aid Al-Adha (immolation feast), Aid Al-Fitr (marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan).

It also urged for granting the Muslim workers nine-day holidays in the event of the death of a close kin (father, mother, spouse, child), in addition to another 6-day vacation in the event of birth, especially for workers whose families still live in the country of origin.
