Arab Labor Organization elects officials

Lebanon was elected president of the board, represented by Labor minister, Ali Kansou for the administrative board of the Arab Labor Organization (ALO), during the board 57th session which opened in Cairo Tuesday.

Representative of the Moroccan Labor Union (UMT), Farouk Chahir, was elected vice-president. Morocco was represented at this 57th session by a senior official from the ministry of employment, professional training, social development and solidarity, Mohamed Tadili, and by Farouk Chahir from the UMT.

The members of the ALO administrative board, namely Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen, Jordan, Oman, and Qatar, were elected at the 29th Arab Labor conference held in Cairo in March.
